About the Role:
We're looking for a talented Data Analyst to join our team. In this critical role, you'll be instrumental in transforming raw customer data into actionable insights, empowering our teams to make data-driven decisions that drive growth and help the team understand the performance of our customers. You'll be responsible for fulfilling data requests, building impactful dashboards, and conducting in-depth analyses to uncover trends and opportunities. You'll also play a key role in identifying areas for product improvement based on your deep understanding of customer data and performance.


What You'll Do:
  • Data Request Fulfillment: Act as a primary point of contact for all data requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of requested information.
  • Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful dashboards using Looker Studio to visualize key metrics (e.g., customer acquisition, retention, churn, campaign performance, sales funnel progression).
  • Data Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses on customer data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to customer behavior, product usage, and market dynamics, specifically focusing on the performance of each customer, role, and location.
  • SQL Expertise (BigQuery): Write complex and efficient SQL queries within Google BigQuery to extract, transform, and load data from various datasets for reporting and analytical purposes. 
  • Product Improvement Insights: Based on your analysis and understanding of customer data, proactively identify and articulate opportunities for product improvements or new features that would enhance customer value and performance. You'll communicate these insights to relevant product stakeholders.
  • Data Storytelling: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with various teams, including product, to understand their analytical needs, define KPIs, and provide ongoing data support and strategic input.
  • Data Quality & Integrity: Contribute to maintaining data quality and consistency within our customer data sets, identifying and addressing data discrepancies.
  • Ad-hoc Reporting: Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed to support strategic initiatives and immediate business needs.

What We're Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role, demonstrating a progression of responsibilities.
  • Strong SQL Skills (Crucial): Demonstrated expertise in writing complex and performant SQL queries, specifically within Google BigQuery, including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and window functions.
  • Dashboarding Experience (Looker Studio): Proven experience building and maintaining interactive dashboards using Looker Studio.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences, including product managers and engineers.
  • Curiosity & Proactiveness: A self-starter with a curious mind, eager to explore data, identify opportunities, and proactively propose solutions and improvements.
  • Python Proficiency: Ability to write and understand Python code for data manipulation (e.g., Pandas), scripting, and automation.
  • Analytical & Product Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. A keen interest in translating data insights into tangible product enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience working directly with business stakeholders (e.g., Product) to understand requirements, define problems, and deliver impactful solutions.

Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience with other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Dataflow).
  • Familiarity with data governance principles.
  • Experience with A/B testing analysis.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis concepts.
  • Experience in the recruiting or HR tech industry.
  • Experience developing software and pushing data pipelines to production environments.
