Client Strategist

We're a startup backed by Y Combinator and leading VCs in Silicon Valley. We help restaurants and stores hire team members up to management roles using Instagram-story like video clips. Our clients include Applebee's, Chick-Fil-A, Taco Bell, Grocery Outlet, and more.

Landed is looking to grow our team of business consultants, responsible for managing our customer relationships.

Your day to day work will involve interfacing with HR and Talent Acquisition teams of top retail and restaurant brands in the world. Through owning onboardings, helping clients refine their talent searches, and working inside of the Landed product to deliver results, you'll nurture successful relationships and help customers understand our value.

This role combines account management, product management, relationship building and data analytics skills. Client Strategists champion the customers needs and work cross-functionality with our entire team (including our founders). As someone working both strategically and tactically with our customers, you'll be in the best position to gain insights on our product and market — helping us to shape our roadmap and make improvements across business operations.

We are a small and growing team, so your responsibilities will evolve rapidly. As an early hire, you will have unparalleled opportunity for ownership and growth within the company.

The Responsibilities

  • Onboard new clients and work with them to develop goals
  • Educate clients on the Landed Employer product and process and coach them through their recruiting efforts
  • Create and closely monitor metrics to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations
  • Interface with the customer-facing team to guide product decisions and priorities based on client feedback
  • Work cross-functionally to drive strategic projects in operations, sales, marketing, hiring and customer experience
  • Build playbooks and best practices to help us scale
  • Develop a strong rapport and trust with our customers

About You

  • Have a bachelor's degree
  • Have 1+ years of customer-facing experience

Account Executive

The AE role at Landed provides a unique opportunity - we're looking for talented, ambitious AEs who can manage the entire sales lifecycle from initial cold call, to understanding clients challenges, to running a virtual demonstration, and closing the deal.

You’ll be selling and consulting restaurant and retail companies on hiring. You'll be selling to franchisee owners and holding groups of the largest brands (Panera, Applebee's, Taco Bell, etc.). The position requires grit to outbound and scrappiness -- you’ll be cold calling owners, store locations, office numbers, etc. You’ll need to stay organized and work out of multiple tools like our sales CRM. This position reports directly to the CEO.

What You'll Do:

  • Daily cold calling into new potential customers from inbound and outbound sources (30+ calls per day)
  • Conducting discovery calls with prospects to uncover the initiatives they are working towards and finding opportunities to help impact their business using Landed.
  • Quickly assess the quality of a prospect to determine the viability of sales opportunities
  • Develop relationships with clients to better hire and serve their customers.
  • Leading a product demonstration on how other brands are using Landed.
  • Find new ways to engage potential customers using all resources available including, marketing, product, etc.
  • Employ our highly consultative, non-pushy sales methodology
  • Keep track of client activity, notes, and next steps clearly in our CRM.
  • Help establish strategic account plans to penetrate target brands in the space.
  • Work with growth to better identify sales opportunities based on lead sources, lead lists, etc.
  • Become a product expert across our entire platform and understand our competitor landscape

An Ideal Candidate:

  • 1-2+ Years in similar sales role required
  • Consistent top performer on your sales team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced remote-first environment

Growth & Strategic Projects Manager

We help restaurants and stores hire team members up to management roles using Instagram-story like video clips. Our clients include Applebee's, Chick-Fil-A, Taco Bell, Grocery Outlet, and more. Candidates are fundamental to the Landed marketplace. We’re looking for someone to oversee acquiring the best candidates for Landed to meet our clients' hiring demand. You will help us hit our lofty acquisition goals, oversee market launches, and develop and execute our cross-channel acquisition strategies while reporting directly to the CEO.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop the strategic market level frameworks, and subsequently manage the experiment and initiative roll-out and execution to hit Landed’s candidate acquisition targets
  • Product manage the Landed Jobs mobile app for candidates
  • Present and execute market, channel, and initiative-level growth and optimization scenarios to CEO to help understand the business trade-offs in our P&L
  • Guide the periodic spend optimization process that improves each channel’s Return on investment without losing sight of growth in each market.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set budgets and ensure spend meets financial goals.
  • Lead constant, iterative improvement of the growth planning process to hit our company-wide goals

Full-Stack Software Engineer

(React Native & Ruby on Rails)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Landed as part of the founding engineering team. You will become the primary engineer across all of our user-facing and backend software. This is an excellent opportunity to take full ownership of our platform, gain experience across the stack, and play a pivotal role in Landed’s startup journey. You will work directly with the CEO to design and build new features, help roll out new products, and increase customer yield and retention. You will also support engineering operations, maintenance, and a number of projects across our backend.

What You'll Do:

  • Own our products from top to bottom - everything from our front end mobile app to our backend logic and admin operations
  • Design and build systems according to the needs of our business. Develop new features and UIs.
  • Maintain, operate, scale and improve the current product and processes
  • Build a system that delights its users
  • Maintain high engineering and security standards, and continuously improve our codebases and processes
  • Fix any bugs or issues that arise
  • Work with others across the company to develop and iterate at scale

An Ideal Candidate:

  • Has 3+ years of software development experience
  • Is proficient in React Native or similar technologies
  • Is proficient in Ruby on Rails or similar technologies
  • Enjoys significant ownership and is able to work independently
  • Is comfortable in a variety of engineering settings, from frontend UX changes to database design to quick-and-dirty ruby scripts
  • Likes to ship code and test user-facing changes
  • Can learn quickly in a new environment and a takes on a can-do attitude
  • Has experience working at a startup or similar fast paced environment
  • Holds either a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field involving coding (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics) or equivalent technical experience

Customer Support Manager

We help stores hire retail associates, so making sure our candidates and stores are supported are fundamental to the Landed marketplace. We’re looking for someone to lead our customer support operations. You will be the face of Landed to all our users, so we’re looking for people with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who operate with a customer-first mentality. You will be expected to provide exceptional support to our existing and potential Landed candidates and quickly adapt to an ever-growing business.

What You'll do:

  • Deliver top notch online and occasional phone support to Landed candidates
  • Walk candidates through the onboarding process and all of the tools they need to be successful on the Landed
  • Help existing candidates troubleshoot any issues they experience
  • Help represent the Landed brand to get candidates excited about joining our platform
  • Stay on top of new Landed policies, procedures, and programs that affect candidates
  • Work with the Leadership team to make our support processes even better
  • Assist with campaigns, events, and promotions as needed
