This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.

• Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.

• Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.
• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.

Provides support as a member of the Front-End team to include assisting customers during the check-out process, performing all cash register functions, bagging groceries, and working at the customer service desk. Follows all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy. May assist with training of new Cashier and Courtesy Team Members. Assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines – helping reduce customer waiting time. Proactively participates in Regional Front End programs as directed by leadership. Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings. Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously. Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product. Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
