People Operations and HR Supervisor

We're looking for an experienced HR Manager with high attention to detail in people operations and project management who will take us into our next chapter. You'll be entrusted to build upon a world-class team and lead with a strong in house presence. The ideal team is made up of a diversity of people and thought with the common denominator that they operate at a world class level in each of their roles. Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department and supervises the work and activities of our Office Manager;
  • Leads all project management and implementation for initiatives related to Human Resources, Workplace Culture Improvement and People Operations Management;
  • Records and monitors important data or statistics as well as key performance indicators related to HR and People Ops;
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates new hires’ onboarding and orientation;
  • Coordinates with respective managers and departments to create specialized or custom Onboarding Plans and 30/60/90 day plans;
  • Provides and facilitates access to company and role specific training.
  • Updates, writes, or creates job descriptions for posting on different job boards and platforms;
  • Ensures offboarding and terminations are properly documented and executed in accordance with company policies and state laws;
  • Handles the documentation and disciplining of employees for infractions or violations of company policies;
  • Manages the process for performance evaluations + collaborates with General Manager on the strategy and implementation;
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention;
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs;
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development;
  • Management of HRIS systems;
  • Management of consulting contracts and consultant payments and invoicing;
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS);
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance;
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management;
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for staff + collaborates with General Manager on the strategy and the Office Manager for implementation;
  • Liaison with accounting as needed;
  • Leads employee anniversaries and culture acknowledgements;
This is an on site Monday - Friday position (8 AM to 5 PM). The HR Specialist/Manager will administer the following tasks on site:

  • New Hire Orientation and Facility Tour
  • Onboarding/Offboarding
  • Interface with employees about HR and payroll matters
  • Interviewing onsite with hiring managers
  • Performance and behavior write ups as needed
  • Attend weekly stand ups with other managers for on the floor staff and help administer team building and morale
