About the Role
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience by offering polished, attentive, and heartfelt service. This includes guiding guests through the dishes they ordered, assisting in additional service as necessary, and maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout each service period.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dishes from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately.
- Confirm and communicate all order details before delivery.
- Support coordination between front and back of house during service.
- Assist with marking, clearing and resetting tables when needed.
- Assist with Tableside Presentations when necessary.
- Ensure dishes meet presentation and temperature standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in service areas.
Qualifications
- Prior food runner or support experience in a busy restaurant is ideal.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to navigate busy dining rooms.
- Basic food knowledge and ability to memorize table numbers.
- Team-oriented and efficient under pressure.
- Flexible availability including day/evening, weekends and holidays.
