Aplós Back-of-House (BOH) Hourly Team Lead – Responsibilities & Role
Leadership & Reporting
· Reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and Assistant Kitchen Manager.
· Leads BOH staff during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
· Acts as the point of contact for cooks and prep staff during service.
· Supports enforcement of BOH policies, recipes, and safety standards.
Operational Responsibilities
· Oversees station setup, prep work, and readiness for service.
· Monitors food quality, consistency, and ticket times during shifts.
· Coordinates workflow to ensure efficient kitchen execution.
· Communicates with FOH team leads to maintain guest satisfaction.
Staff Support & Training
· Provides guidance and on-shift coaching to cooks and prep staff.
· Trains new BOH employees on recipes, prep standards, and safety procedures.
· Encourages teamwork, professionalism, and accountability within the kitchen.
Inventory & Waste Control
· Monitors product usage and waste during shifts.
· Communicates shortages or issues to the Kitchen Manager.
· Ensures proper storage and rotation of food products.
Compliance & Safety
· Enforces daily sanitation, cleaning, and food safety practices.
· Reports equipment or safety issues to management immediately.
· Assists in preparing for health and food safety inspections.
Accountability
· Directly accountable for BOH performance during assigned shifts.
· Provides feedback and communicates issues to the Kitchen Manager or AGM.
· Supports restaurant goals for quality, service, and efficiency.
