Position Overview
Learning Jungle is seeking energetic and dependable Summer Camp Teachers to support our seasonal program. This role is responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment where children can learn, explore, and build meaningful connections during the summer months.
Summer Camp Teachers will lead daily activities, support developmental learning, and ensure the well-being of all campers while collaborating with team members to deliver a high-quality camp experience.
Schedule: Must be available within operating hours (6:30am – 6:00pm)
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Engagement
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, learning, and exploration
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all campers feel supported and encouraged
Camp Experience & Activities
• Lead games, group activities, and team-building exercises
• Encourage participation, confidence, and social development
Safety & Supervision
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
• Follow all licensing, health, and safety protocols
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with other teachers and staff to create a fun and structured camp environment
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding classroom needs and concerns
Qualifications & Skills
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a licensed childcare setting or similar environment preferred
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass required health screening, TB test, and maintain up-to-date immunizations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Energetic, reliable, and passionate about working with children
