Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  
Tao Group Hospitality is seeking an Operations Associate with supporting daily venue and facilities operations, responsible for the handling, mobilization, organization, and return of in-house equipment and supplies, including furniture and large back-of-house items. Works closely with management, internal teams, and vendors and building teams to receive, distribute, maintain, and keep track of all equipment. Provides facilities support, including performing minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure the venue remains safe, functional, and operational. Maintains accurate inventory, organized storage, compliance with building requirements, and smooth operations across all areas of the venue.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Manage the collection, movement, distribution, and requisition of venue inventory and equipment
  • Mobilize large furniture and equipment throughout the venue
  • Execute equipment pulls and returns independently, following event-specific requirements provided by Venue Managers
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts before and after each event
  • Communicate consistently with management during events to ensure all equipment needs are met
  • Assess storage requirements and coordinate with the team accordingly
  • Reorganize and maintain storage areas to maximize efficiency and ensure accessibility
  • Perform light handyman work, including minor repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and building/facilities teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with building regulations
  • Ensure all work is completed within building compliance guidelines and safety protocols
  • Report and document any missing or damaged items
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of all storage areas to support efficient event operations
  • Oversee the receiving and returning of packages related to venue operations
  • Assist Manager with setup, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing system as needed.
  • Support general upkeep of shared storage spaces
  • Provide general event, facility, and venue operational support as needed
  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
 
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory handling, receiving, or a related field
  • Basic handyman skills and experience with light repair and maintenance work
  • Ability to work effectively with third-party vendors, building management, and facilities teams
  • Understanding of building compliance guidelines and ability to work within regulatory requirement
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to the changing needs of each event
  • Maintains a positive attitude and responds well to feedback from management
  • Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office, POS systems, Oracle knowledge preferred
